We started the Burkman Foundation this year to provide scholarship opportunities for young adults ages 16-22 with a cognitive disability to attend trade/technical schools, 2-4 year accredited colleges, online educational courses, and/or adult living skill education classes.
As the parents of two young adults with high functioning autism we have lived through the struggles of them navigating their way through early adulthood. It is our goal to help educate and provide resources to these individuals and hopefully lift some burdens during this process.
Donations from our supporters allow us to continue to help those in our community who are in need of support and those with special needs. Visiting our display does not cost anything, but donations are always accepted.
As always, cash is accepted in person at our home. If you would like to donate through virtual means, we utilize Venmo and Zelle.

We are always looking for help with greeting visitors, handing out candy canes, taking photos, and helping keep traffic moving. If you are 16+ and need volunteer hours for your organization or for school, or even if you just have a question or comment, please reach out to us!
